Beauty: Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails #2 Review

My friend recently came back from Korea and surprised me with an Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails in #2 Kiss of Fire for my birthday! She knows my love for nail polishes and the color pink so this was the perfect gift! (Thank you, Ina! <3)

Since this was my first try in gradation nails, the result wasn't perfect. I attempted to follow the instructions found at the back of the box but I still didn't get the result I wanted.

I am also very particular about the texture of my nails when I add nail polish. I like it smooth so I find it quite odd that it was uneven. Since you're applying it layer by layer, this was inevitable.

Step-by-step application!
I had no problems with the first two polishes. The first polish was kind of runny and sheer, but two layers of it was just right to show the color. Meanwhile, I love the second polish! It's opaque and one layer is enough. One day, I plan on wearing it alone.

However, the 3rd nail polish with the biggest glitters was very stubborn to apply. Sometimes there's too much of the clear liquid than the actual glitters so you have to add more, making it thicker and more uneven... or I don't know, maybe it's just me!

Likes:
  • Pretty colors~ it has that illusion that my nails look healthy
  • The first two polishes
  • Dries easily
  • Instructions found at the back
Dislikes:
  • 3rd polish was hard to apply
  • Price? Although I got it for free, the price here in the Philippines (348php) may seem a bit too much for some unless of course, you have a passion for nail polish.
Maybe I just needed more practice but I still prefer my plain old nail polishes (most of them are from Etude House too). I do recommend this for those who want to have a little fun with applying their nail polish and it's perfect for those who want 반짝반짝 (sparkling) nails.
