Beauty: Etude & Disney Collaboration: XOXO Minnie Collection (Updated!)

It's been a while since my last post and I apologize for that! Finals week came up and I had some requirements to finish until the very last day. Now I am officially free and I'm excited to feature yet another collection from my favorite Korean brand, Etude House.

Etude House in collaboration with Disney created this limited edition collection called XOXO, Minnie. For those who may not know what 'XOXO' means, it stands for 'Hugs and Kisses' and this collection is inspired by none other than, Minnie Mouse.

Cosmetics brands often collaborate with classic cartoon characters and we see this often with MAC wherein there's an entire collection dedicated to Archies' Girls, Betty and Veronica. It is also not the first time Etude House collaborated with an outside brand for a few years back, they released Hello Kitty-inspired products as well.

Now we have another classic character, Minnie Mouse, known for her red polka-dot hair bow, long eyelashes and sassy personality. Judging from the teaser pic of f(x)'s Sulli above, she seems to embody just that. I'm not fan of the highlighter above her cheeks though.

This is one massive collection and there seems to be a lot of dark pinks/ reds and shimmer. Since pink is my favorite color, I'm already eyeing the dark cherry pink eyeshadow and red lipstick! I'm also curious whether the mascara would actually give me Minnie's long lashes. I'd also like to try their nail polish particularly that bloody red and bright red.

However, I am quite disappointed at the lack of eyeliners in this collection... but that's just me, haha. I really like the collection as a whole (again, Etude House never disappoints!) and since this is limited edition, I will definitely get one or two products!

The full release of EtudexDisney: XOXO Minnie Collection will be on October 15~ I'll definitely update this post once more pictures come out.

They released another teaser featuring Krystal this time. I definitely like this make-up look more than Sulli's.

Some swatches of the eyeshadow. The shimmery beige looks crazy pigmented!

The most interesting products are the nail polish and nail glitters. As you can see, a lot of combinations could be done and the outcome will be pretty no matter what~
